The Journey

Hotel Photography. If you are tuned into my blog, you would know of the difficulties I encountered attaining hotels to allow me to create images of and in their premises. Well, for now, I am tremendously pleased to announce that the struggle is finally over and I would like to thank Island Experiences for allowing that to happen. The past few days I’ve been occupied with Island Experiences, living up to my part of the deal. They presented me with two(2) properties to shoot, []

The struggle to attain Caribbean images – for the past month I’ve been trying to construct a portfolio of Caribbean images. I’ve been to places in Trinidad already in search of such images and already acquired some of these images at these locations. I’ve illustrated the Journey to these locations in the Travel Photography in my previous blog posts. As a Travel photographer, I would like to acquire the freedom and opportunity to visit other places outside of Trinidad & Tobago including the many Islands within []

The Boardwalk Location:  Trinidad & Tobago Day 62 – The Boardwalk, which is located in Carenage Trinidad, is rich in many viewpoints. I was very distinctive to shoot some images there, my journey began by dragging myself off my bed 4 am in the morning. took a bath,  got ready, grabbed a yogurt for breakfast and left home for Port of Spain trying to reach the Bus terminal for 6 am. Surprisingly, I got a bus around 7 am and it took an estimated time []

Chasing Night Light

Chasing the moon….yet again. There we go chasing the night light again, my most noble D.S.L.R. and I, in search of the moon at 7 pm. I’ve finally got some good news and it rhymes with “pound the spoon”. Guess what?, I’ve found the moon. I concluded that it would make an amazing shot if I got closer. So I began my journey, I left home and decided to stop by a friend because she needed help with her television. On my way there I stopped at a corner conversing []

Climb the mountain []

Chasing Night Light

*Shooting Stars* After coming home from a very hectic day yesterday evening,  I took a nap and got up with only one thing on my mind : photos! Here is the second edition of Chasing Night Light. The journey began promptly after my nap, looking for the illusive moon again. If you previously read my blog , you would know my agony of searching for the moon 3 days now. I’ve decided, “Oh well, no moon, lets shoot stars” Last night was the first time I []

Chasing Night Light

Chasing Night Light I’ve been searching desperately for the moon almost three (3) days now,  looking for a few night photography, consisting of the moon in my frame along with the stars. There are a million stars but the moon seems to be so elusive these past three (3) days. There is everything else but no moon. 😥 😥 😥 Walked around my house three (3) times so eager to see some night light. I stepped in the middle of the road looking []

The Struggle Is Real.  Currently thinking about what to shoot, where to shoot and how to get there. The struggle is real as time persists, wondering how do I make it out there in the world of photography and getting clients and my work out. Who do I pitch to or what travel board is looking for Caribbean imagery? But I am not about to give up and fall on my lens and call myself unlucky and wallow in pity for myself. I am going to []

Day 46 Toco Run. On Day 46 of my journey in Trinidad, I was able to visit the Toco beach. I would deeply advise you to read carefully as things may get a little complicated with my English. I’m not too sure if it could be named “English.” On Day 1 of Day 46, after a long drive from Chaguanas to Toco, I unpacked my belongings at the inn. After being fully relaxed in the air-conditioning, I decided to venture outside and as []
